Ho Ho Ho!

Happy Saint Nicholas Day!  I know it's not common in the US, but my family celebrates St. Nicholas day every December 6th.  He leaves presents in the children's shoes, and we have a feast.  It separates Santa from Christmas a little, but mostly it's just a lot of fun.  St. Nicholas is the patron saint of children, so I think it's a nice day to celebrate.  In fact, I wish it were a work/school holiday to celebrate children.  We don't have one of those in the US.  And I really do believe that children are our most valuable (and probably our most underappreciated) resource.
